If you’re interested in helping our mission become a reality, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

  • Join the Steering Committee, which meets monthly. For more information, check out our list of Steering Committee expectations.
  • Become a coach to one of the participants working to get out of poverty. Click here for more information on becoming a coach.
  • Make a donation to help fund Routt to Work. Checks can be made out and sent to Routt County United Way, P.O. Box 774005, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477 — just remember to write “Routt to Work” on the memo line.
  • Contribute food or child care during the annual Step it Up class, held from mid-May through June, or to a Move it Up class, held monthly from August to April.
  • Share your skills to help facilitate ongoing education among participants.
  • Attend Talk it Up, a community training held annually in the spring.
  • Invite Routt to Work to speak at your place of work, club, church, school, etc. so we can give others the opportunity to find out more about what we do.
  • Make a referral. Connect motivated residents to our Step it Up and Move it Up classes. Click here for referral instructions.
